This Policy governs the cancellation of accounts and the refundability of fees paid by Doctors (Providers) and Patients (End-Users) using the MERAAPNADOCC technological interface.
1. Doctor Subscription and Onboarding Fees
1.1. Onboarding Fee (Non-Refundable)
- Amount: ₹2,000 (one-time fee).
- Policy: The Onboarding Fee covers the administrative costs of account setup, server allocation, and initial technical support. This fee is strictly non-refundable upon payment, regardless of whether the Doctor activates a subscription or completes the registration process.
1.2. Subscription Fees
- Plans: 3 Months (₹1,500), 6 Months (₹3,000), or 12 Months (₹6,000).
- Refund Policy: All subscription payments are final. No partial or full refunds shall be issued for unused portions of a subscription term if a Doctor chooses to stop using the application or deletes their account before the term expires.
- Renewal & Grace Period:
- Automated renewal reminders are sent between 15 and 29 days prior to the subscription expiry date.
- A grace period (up to 29 days post-expiry) is provided during which the application remains functional.
- On the 30th day of non-payment, the account enters "Hard Suspension," and access to patient data and prescription tools is blocked until a new subscription is paid.
1.3. Cancellation of Doctor Account
- Doctors may initiate account deletion at any time via the "My Account" option within the Doctor Panel.
- Upon deletion, access to the platform and all associated data is terminated. No refunds are provided for the remaining subscription period.
1.4. Consultation Fees & Payout Schedule (The "Escrow" Model)
1.4.1Collection and Holding Period
- All consultation fees paid by Patients are held by the Application for the duration of the calendar month (from the 1st to the 31st).
- During this period, the Application maintains a ledger of all successful consultations and associated fees for each Doctor.
1.4.2. Monthly Calculation and Statement
- Following the end of the month, a detailed calculation of the total fees earned by the Doctor shall be generated.
- This statement will be shared with the Doctor via the Doctor Panel/Admin Panel for review prior to disbursement.
1.4.3.Disbursement (Payout) Window
- Timing: The accumulated fees for the previous month shall be transferred to the Doctor’s registered bank account/UPI between the 3rd and the 10th of the following month.
- Zero Transfer Fees: MERAAPNADOCC shall not deduct any processing fees, service charges, or "transfer fees" from the amount owed to the Doctor. The Doctor receives 100% of the consultation fees collected, regardless of their subscription being active.
1.5 Account Deletion and Final Settlement
1.5.1 . Doctor Account Deletion
- Doctors may initiate account deletion via the "My Account" section.
- Final Settlement: If a Doctor deletes their account mid-month, any accrued consultation fees (from the 1st of that month until the date of deletion) will be processed during the standard payout window (the 3rd to 10th of the following month).
2. Patient Consultation Fees structure.
2.1. Peer-to-Peer Payment Model
- The Consultation Fee is a small fee set by the Doctor and is payable by the Patient prior to the consultation.
- Consultation fees Payment: Payments are made from the Patient to the Doctor via UPI (peer-to-peer). The Application acts solely as a technological intermediary only to collect and process these funds on behalf of the Doctor as per the policy set between the doctor and the app independent of the patient. The app does not have the rights to decide the fees structure charged by the doctor. The doctors is completely responsible for making that decision and can change it from time to time as he finds it suitable to his practice.
2.2. Patient Refund Policy (The "Doctor-Approval" Protocol)
MERAAPNADOCC operates a centralized payment collection system. Because the Doctor is the medical service provider, all patient refund requests are subject to the sole discretion and approval of the Doctor.
Refund Policy for Patients
- The consultation fees are paid by the patient to the Doctor. MERAAPNADOCC.IN is not responsible for issuing refunds for medical consultations.
- Any request for a refund due to dissatisfaction with medical advice, technical issues during a call, or missed appointments must be settled directly between the Patient and the Doctor.
- The Application is not liable for clinical outcomes or the failure of a Doctor to provide advice after payment has been made.
2.1. The Exclusive Refund Procedure
To initiate a refund, the following mandatory protocol must be followed. No other procedures for making a refund will be accepted.
- Patient Initiation: The Patient must request a refund (e.g., due to a missed appointment or technical issue).
- Doctor Approval (Mandatory): No refund shall be processed by the Application Admin unless the Doctor specifically approves the request.
- Approved Communication Channels: The Doctor must send their confirmation/approval through one of the two official channels:
- WhatsApp: A message sent to the official Application WhatsApp number.
- Email: An email sent to the official App email account (admin@meraapnadocc.in).
Full Refund: Upon receipt of the Doctor's confirmation via the above channels, the Application will refund the 100% of the consultation fee to the Patient’s original payment method.
- Zero Deductions: No administrative fees, transaction fees, or convenience charges will be deducted from the Patient’s refund.
2.2. Refund Exclusions
- Refunds will not be processed based on automated system triggers or unilateral Patient requests.
- If a Doctor does not provide confirmation via the designated WhatsApp or Email channels, the funds will remain in the monthly payout pool for the Doctor.
2.3. Cancellation of Patient Account
- Patients cannot delete their accounts directly through the Patient Panel.
- To cancel or delete an account, a Patient must submit a request via the Admin Panel or contact the Grievance Officer.
3. Administrative Rights and Suspension
- Breach of Terms: The Licensor (MERAAPNADOCC.IN) reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Doctor or Patient account without a refund if they are found to be in violation of the End User License Agreement (EULA), including the transmission of prohibited or objectionable content.
- Technical Downtime: No refunds or extensions shall be granted for temporary service disruptions, maintenance, or "force majeure" events that render the application temporarily unavailable.
